Cabaret end of year spectacle 2015

midaction.

The jugglers of the night.

What a wonderful spectacle. Charlotte and Emilie have to stay at the after school care every Thursday and Friday and on Thursday's they joined a group called Cabaret. They were making costumes and props all year and presented a show to the parents last week. I thought it was going to be a really small thing, but it was packed and there were lots of different acts. The girls demonstrated their karate moves in the first part of the show and then did their juggling act towards the end. They were the only two up there juggling. They didn't seem nervous at all. So happy to see them (although I unfortunately arrived 5 minutes later due to traffic) in one of their last events with this school.

Class pictures 2015

Emilie PS. E finished her first year of school and loved it. She had two teachers this
year but LOVED the one on the right the most.

Charlotte GS. C has finished maternelle and has gotten the green light to go into CP.
Charlotte had the same teacher this year as in PS, but she is so much nicer and has changed. I think C really enjoyed her this time around.

Updates, changes and happiness

We're going to school with Mommy! Yay!

So... there is a God. I have been praying every night and things are turning around. I have been offered a full time position at my school next year teaching Year 2 which I am elated about. The girls have been accepted into the school with free tuition, double yay! I am so excited to get to drive to school with them everyday. I won't have to worry about a nanny or before and after school care or traffic, etc... Having the girls go with me is a dream and I feel so lucky. The girls have uniforms in this school and will now be in the English section, but still receiving french 4 times a week in addition to gym, music and art being in French. Emilie will be in reception and will start learning to read this year. Charlotte will be in Year 2 and will start off a bit behind in handwriting, but should be fine in all of the other subjects. Besides, I am teaching the same class so I know exactly how and where I can help her with her homework. With all these changes, we are looking to move in August. Fingers crossed that the lease is signed tomorrow. I had wanted to move into Switzerland, but it is still expensive for what you get and Charlotte complains that it is too loud. So for now we are still in France, but who knows what the next year or two will bring. So happy to finally be getting on my own feet and out of this mess that I had been dealt. To new beginnings with the Gamez girls :) xx

La Classe Verte, Grande Section

C was so excited for this trip. She could not wait to go out of town to the mountains with her entire class and no parents. Honestly,  she was thrilled to not have mommy and papa there.
I on the other hand was freaking out. She is 6! I had tons of questions, mainly if she had to go or if there was a chance it would be cancelled. Nope. 3 days, 2 nights, 25 kids and 4 adults (some parent volunteers included).
C Bear absolutely loved it! There was a blog where we could write letters to the children while they were away and C's teacher kindly read them to each child. I wrote mine in english and she even read it for C.
Emilie struggled the first night to sleep without her sister so I stayed in her room all of 2 minutes (luckily she was exhausted) and the next night she went to sleep with no problem, but because she knew she was getting to sleep with me that night.
I asked E on Wednesday if she was ready for her sister to come home and shockingly she said no. I think she enjoyed having one on one time.
When the bus pulled back into school on Wednesday C gave her sister a cuddle immediately. She won't admit it, but she missed her little sister. Sweet!
Ready for my trip.

E going to school, C prepared for her trip.

C and her best friend Lucie.

She's home!!!

She is way too grown up for me already! xx

Vitamrun 2015

Getting our dossard for our first fun run!
Running with our good friend Marcel

The Gamez crew out to support our favorite little ladies.

We are so proud of you girls! Both of you ran nonstop for 600m.
And the best thing is that both girls loved it and said they wanted to do it again.
So proud of you ladies!!

Second sleep over for the girls.

Had their nails done

Emilie fell off a bike while at the park and at first I thought,  "no big deal", but she kept complaining. Took her to the hospital to make sure that it was ok and luckily they couldn't see anything on the x-ray. They did tell her to wear this lovely thing for a few days and take some pain medicine. Very thankful that it was no major issue.

Mother's day picnic at the castle. Chateau Chillon

My two princesses making me feel like a queen.

Friends

The girls found my phone one morning and decided to take their pictures

C is finishing year 1 in PLP (Wednesday English school).
I will completely tear up when she graduates for real.
Love seeing this outfit on her.

Beautiful mama bear! Keep up the great work.
