We did it!! Charlotte and I signed up to run this year's race and it was so much fun. The last time I ran this race was 4 years ago and this is C's first time to be able to do it as you have to be 6 at registration time. She ran a whopping 1.76km!! So incredibly proud of her. She ran the whole time and had a big smile on her face when she finished.
For me this race was really symbolic. I wasn't realising the importance until the date drew closer. So many things have happened since the last time I ran this race. SO many really crap things have happened and then through all of it so many great things have occurred. For me, this race brought me back. After all of this time, I am here and alive and happy and so incredibly grateful for all of the wonderful things in our lives. It really just means so much. And I finished 2 minutes faster than the last race, woohoo!!
