Recently a friend in Geneva has lost her niece. She died at the age of 6 in her sleep. This is just so hard for me to hear. So sad to imagine for myself and for my friend and for her sister that has lost her child. It wasn't expected. It makes you think of what would you do and how you would handle it, if you could handle it. It also makes the dreaded subject come back to reality of events that would occur if it happened to me, or us. My friend is English, her sister lives in Germany. The process isn't the same as in her home country which doesn't make things any easier, when things are already tough.
Again, it makes one question what one would do. To which there is never an easy answer. I am so sorry that my friend has to go through this painful situation and I pray 1001 times that I never have to see this day with my own children.

Charlotte turns 8!

My heart...

The last time I see her as a 7 year old.

Watching Shrek at the theatre.

Love is such a small word for what I feel for her and her sister.
Charlotte Bear is turning 8 tomorrow (actually in 5 hours).
To my first child, who will always be my big girl and my baby, to the one I enjoy spending so much time with exploring the world, I love you and wish you the best birthday ever. You make the world a better place and me a better person. Your sister and I would be lost without you. May this be your year where you learn new things, see new places, meet new friends and find peace in your heart. Happy Happy Birthday!!
