Metropolis, Illinois

I love old bridges. However, I should have left the camera job to Emilie as this picture didn't turn out that great.

We flew to Memphis and drove up to Metropolis, Illinois so I could see where my Dad was put to rest since I was unable to make it to the burial due to my studies and other life events. The girls got to see my Grandma Joyce and lots of corn fields and see a little of the town where my dad grew up. I spent Sunday morning with my dad and felt that I could have stayed all day and then some. I had nothing to say and everything to say, but didn't want to leave, mostly because I didn't want my dad to leave when he did. I would have loved for him to see the girls and watch them grow. Charlotte still talks about him, but I am not sure how much longer she will really remember him. I hope where he is, he is at peace and in good company (with a really good view of what is going on in our lives as the girls get older). Love you Dad.

4th of July-Texas 2014

This was my first 4th of July with my family in over 11 years. It was so nice to be back and celebrate with them. USA!USA!

most of these pictures were taken by Emilie. She did a pretty good job!

Beach Day with Grandma Mary-Texas 2014

Definitely not the cleanest beach the girls have ever been to, but they didn't mind. They were so happy rolling around in the water and digging in the sand. Such great memories!

free flying! can swing on her own now and gets so high!

hello world!

The Gamez girls and Marcel. Neighbor boy and will be in E's class next year in school. This year has been really tough and I am so thankful for wonderful neighbors and friends to help me out so I can keep going to school. Wonderful people out there!

Chicken Pox Round 2

Ms. C and her spots! Thankfully we are done with this, but goodness it was painful to see. I don't think there is a good time to get the chicken pox, but thankfully Emilie got it while I was on vacation from school. And then C got it when Alex broke his hand and was off work. I just keep saying, "things could always be worse." Now we have two healthy little ladies (with a few spots still remaining but getting better everyday!)

Happy Birthday Ms. E

Birthday dinner at the Buffalo Grill.

Unfortunately, I did not take any pictures at the party so these are the only ones that we have of the actual event. E had a great time! She was so happy to have her friends over. She didn't understand why her friends from creche weren't there, but we did invite all of the friends that we don't get to see very often. She was super excited to be turning three and to have Hello Kitty on her cake. She was a very tired girl afterwards! Mimi- the girl that tries your mother on a daily basis, gives the best cuddles, loves to make people laugh, and who has such a fun spirit and thoughtful heart. We all love you to the moon and back little one! Happy third birthday, Mims!

Happy Easter! love, the Gamez Girls

Emilie and the spots. All better, just hoping there isn't too much scarring.
