Summer 2024: South Korea, Vietnam, Turkey
wow! we just got back from a big 2 week vacation and we saw so many different things. First, South Korea. big cities and family. it was sooooooo great to see Michelle and Ben and most importantly meet Lana and get to know Kali more. She is at a perfect age, with so many questions and just so much fun! Lots of family time was had and we miss them already.
To start our trip, the girls and I spent 2 days in Seoul. We saw the massive library, Gangnam Hands, temples, palace, Hanoi villages, night market in Myeongdong, tons of skincare stores where the girls got facemask packs for less than 50cents, ate dumplings and marshmallow ice cream and saw so many clean bathrooms and organized streets and crossings (lights, sounds and divided for which way you're walking). We then went by train to Ulsan to spend 5 days with family. First stop was the bamboo forest and mud walking. We tried spicy Korean noodle soup, BBQ, coffee, smoothies, seaweed wraps, pizza. We watched Ulsan soccer game, where the team won in the last minute, such a great crowd. we then went to a suspension bridge and a few more parks (that all have these huge hula hoops for working out, I loved them), we had game day at home and then went to Busan where it rained all day. We saw beaches with huge jellyfish, the ladies that swim in the sea and sell fresh clams, etc were out selling their treasures, we visited the tallest Starbucks on the 98th floor, karaoke room and photo booth pictures (big deal there) We had such a great time and really enjoyed this country. ).
