Vacation to Tunisia
Wow! How quickly a week goes by when you are having fun. We just spent a week at the Club Med in Hammammet, Tunisia. We had such a great time but realized that we didnt get to do all that we had wanted. We did eat everything in sight though! We enjoyed the beach, the pool, archery, Alex played tennis and I tried my luck being on the trapeze (trust me, it is a LOT harder than you would think). We really didnt see much besides the club med surroundings, but it was great. The people of Tunisia are so wonderful and they love babies. Love is probably an understatement. Charlotte was like queen bee there and now we are having to undo all the spoiling the staff gave her. This place even had a baby restaurant where they had fresh purees made daily with no salt or any additives. Wonderful! wonderful!wonderful! everyone should experience this place atleast once!
Gamez family at the pool. This hotel had 3 pools, 2 of them being for children. This is the first place we have been that is so icredibly kid friendly it isnt funny. If you dont want children or dont want to be around them, this is not the place for you at all. Meanwhile, it was great for us!
Daddy and C Bear on the beach!
Alex and I enjoying an afternoon at the beach. I so did not want to leave this place. One week was not enough!
Charlotte sleeping on the beach of Hammammet. She is so cute!
C and I getting our picture taken with a camel on the beach. That was a major goal of mine! Obviously Charlotte could care less.
Gamez family vacation! We had such a great time and are looking forward to going back one day.
Typical Tunisian market. It was so incredibly crowded.

Tunisian beer. One side of the can was in Arabic, the other side is in French. The country's first language is Arabic and the second is French. How accommodating!

Here is Charlotte and Alex. She loves pushing her stroller! This was pretty much her favorite activity on vacation.

Someone's Busted
Baby Talk
Here is Charlotte with her cousin Leonie, who is 3 months older. This is apparently an A-B conversation. I have no idea what is being said, but they seem to communicate well together.

First trip to the Hospital
This weekend was the first time that C had a fever aside from her vaccinations. We waited it out since Friday to see if it would go away, hoping that it was just some teething issue. By Sunday evening it was still there and we started to think it might be something more so we went to the pediatric hospital to get things checked out. After 3 hours and everything checking out clean we went home still not knowing the true reason as to why she had a fever. Other than that she was our adorable little bear, no cold symptoms, no ear infection, etc.. Who knows! Thankfully this morning we took her temperature and it was back to normal. Hopefully it stays this way.

Some people need to learn to stay quiet!
So...today I was at the park with a friend and our two babies when an elderly woman came by to "admire" our babies. She asked if Charlotte was a boy and when I said no, she is a girl, the woman then when on to tell me how she looks so much like a boy, etc.. First off, I didnt ask her opinion and second, why would you keep insisting someone's baby looks like the opposite sex when they have just told you the right one!?! I am a little upset because obviously I think my C Bear is the cutest thing ever. And she TOTALLY looks like a girl. Do I have mommy eyes or something???

First Laugh on Camera
Charlotte laughed for the first time 2 days ago and today we were able to capture it on video. It is the best sound in the whole world! Enjoy!

Big Girls- You are Beautiful!!
Just a quick update. We went to the pediatrician today for Charlotte's 4 month appt and wow has she grown! Our little lady is now almost 17 lbs! The line on our chart stops at the 97th percentile and she is above that, so we are assuming somewhere around 98 or 99th?? It's pretty funny actually. For height she is in the 97th percentile and for head circumference she is in the 80th. I really am so proud of our growing little lady!! We asked about starting solids but he looked at C Bear and said quickly that she doesn't need any extra supplements for nourishment so solids weren't necessary! I guess milk really does a body good!!

Montreux, Switzerland
Today we did a day train trip to Montreux, Switzerland which is just on the other side of the lake. It started out with not the best weather and ended up being a pretty day. Of course I still have no idea how to dress her in the changing weather, very frustrating. But the city is really nice and clean. Right now they are having the Jazz festival which is very popular. Maybe next year we can see some of the live shows, sorry C Bear-no invite for you!

Kos, Greece
Here are a few of my favorite images from our vacation. We spent a wonderful week in Kos, Greece doing pretty much nothing besides relaxing by the pool and eating lots of food(my idea of a perfect vacation)!! C Bear was always good for a laugh and has decided that she wants to make out with anything that can go into her mouth. And thankfully Alex and I have regained a little bit of our color, we're much healthier looking (not quite like the Miami days, but better than we were)
